Trey Kerby of TBJ on KD’s movie Switch:  “So basically, “Space Jam” plus “Like Mike” with a little bit of “Slam  Dunk Ernest” mixed in, but all set in high school. I guess. Beats me,  but I assume that a lot of this is going to hit home for Russell  Westbrook. The question, however, is if there are going to be other  Thunder in this. I mean, if they’re having to cope with “the early end  to the Thunder’s season,” it sounds like we’d be seeing some other  Thunder, right? At the very least, Byron Mullens is available.”

David Aldridge: “This week is really the last week in which an agreement on a new CBA can  be reached in order to save a [Nov. 1] start of season.” Awesome.

WANT: Kevin Durant USA Basketball Savior t-shirt.

I wrote about it at CBS Sports over the weekend, but I’ll ask here: Does Kevin Durant wearing a Bulls hat bother you? Should we care?

Kurt Helin of PBT on KD’s movie: “Kevin, honestly, I want the best for you. And I want to like your movie, I really do. But America needed another body switch movie like it needs another Wal*Mart location. Maybe I should let them film the movie before I give it a thumbs down, but I don’t have high hopes here.”

Serge Ibaka had a big hand in breaking up France’s defense.

Reggie Jackson with a deep tweet last night: “Jus had one of those showers where u never wanna get out #AMAZING”

CelticsBlog on the Perk-Westbrook thing: “With this kind of push-pull effect going on in Boston and OKC, perhaps the trading between these two teams isn’t over.  If you see any Westbrook for Rondo trade rumors bantered about – this is probably why.”

A Drew-Goodman rematch has been set for Oct. 9.

Eddie Yang of Yardbarker: “1st day on the set of my new movie. Having a great time. This is wild babe!” tweeted Durant. The movie is a Warner Bros. project and features a basketball subplot and will be shot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana according to multiple reports. Durant was asked by a follower if he was remaking Blue Chips, the 1994 film about a fictional college basketball team that featured Nick Nolte, Shaquille O’Neal and Anfernee Hardaway. Durant joked that he was going to reprise the role of Neon Bordeaux which was played by O’Neal in the original. “Yeah im neon lol,” Durant tweeted. “lol nah more of a kiddie joint..there’s no remaking blue chips.” “NBA lock out let’s make them movie stars ….” tweeted Brandon T. Jackson, actor and stand-up comedian. “On the set of my new movie with Kevin durant.”
