Video: KD throwing down dunks everywhere in Seattle

Kevin Durant returned to Seattle on Sunday night to play in Jamal Crawford’s Pro-Am game, and you’ll never believe this, but he did cool things.

KD finished with 63 points for the game, but apparently needed 62 shots and played more than 50 minutes of the game. But those eight points there? They were really good points.

Obviously this was Durant returning to Seattle, where he played a season of basketball with the Sonics which was his rookie campaign, so there were some emotions and things at work here. So much that KD felt compelled to give Seattle a nice little shout after the game:

Via the AP, Durant also said this:

“I just want to say I miss you guys,” Durant told a crammed small-college gym filled with about 3,000 fans, many in Durant’s old Seattle SuperSonics jersey. “Thank you for the warm welcome. I can’t wait to come back.”

There will be those oversensitive Oklahomans that get all rabble rabble about that, but truth is, KD has a connection to Seattle and he cares about the city and his fans there. There’s probably part of him that still kind of wonders what it would be like to have this current Thunder team there.

And there’s nothing wrong with that. So before you start chirping or tisk-tisking, get over yourself. Seattle’s an awesome city and it sucks they don’t have an NBA team because they deserve one, but that doesn’t mean OKC doesn’t and it doesn’t mean KD hates it here. Don’t be that person that’s still seeking approval. The Thunder are here, KD’s here, Russell Westbrook’s here, Serge Ibaka’s here, James Harden’s, scratch that, Jeremy Lamb is here, and that’s what matters.

Got it? Got it.

In summary, KD dunking is wonderful and let’s all watch that video again.
