Brewer Leads the Charge vs Clippers, Thunder Wins Fifth Straight
The Thunder started its grueling final stretch in style on Friday night in Oklahoma City, riding a balanced scoring effort to a 121-113 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. It was OKC’s fifth consecutive victory.
Corey Brewer led the way with 22 points and six steals. Paul George scored 19 points despite being questionable with a pelvic strain. Steven Adams added 18 points and 14 rebounds after a one game absence. Russell Westbrook rounded things out with his fourth straight triple-double, contributing 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists.
Full Highlights:
The Thunder moves to 42-29 with the win and is now a full game up on Minnesota for fourth place in the Western Conference. Back in action on Sunday in Toronto.
Corey Brewer
The Corey Brewer train continued full steam ahead against the Clippers. His final stat line:
22 points, 6 steals, 3 assists, 7/12 FG, 2/4 3P, 6/7 FT
I don’t know what my expectations for Brewer were but it’s safe to say he’s exceeded them.
His highlights:
Steven Adams
Big Kiwi sat out of the Thunder’s last game with a hip contusion and was questionable all day leading up to this one. He responded to being active by dropping 18 points, 14 rebounds (10 offensive), and 5 blocks in 38 minutes. Seems healthy enough.
He and Brewer scored 14 points apiece in the first half, carrying the Thunder to an 8-point halftime lead. They are very clearly the focal point of the OKC offense moving forward.

Notes
PG13. Paul George shrugged off his ailment and dropped a 19-7-7 stat line in 38 minutes of action. He shot 6-of-13 from the floor and tacked on three steals for good measure.
Triple-Double Westbrook. Russ is doing that thing again. He’s put up four straight triple-doubles and now has 22 on the season.
Terrance Ferguson. T-Ferg logged 17 points and scored 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting. Despite my belief that he shouldn’t play, he did a lot of things really well against the Clippers. Including this:
