Friday Bolts: 11.22.19

Joe Mussatto (The Oklahoman) with an update on Hamidou Diallo’s and Andre Roberson’s status. The short answer is that Diallo was a full participant at practice, but Roberson did not participate.  Roberson’s status remains a mystery.

Steven Adams was also a full participant, per Erik Horne (The Athletic):

Here’s your official practice report from yesterday:

Another one from Joe Mussatto: Chris Paul isn’t a fan of the current system for coach’s challenges.  ‘”It needs a lot of work,’ Paul said. ‘I don’t even know if I can say that because I’m on the Competition Committee. But one of the things I wish is that if you challenge it, you at least get to keep your timeout. I don’t think that makes a lot of sense. I know that the committee is working through things and trying to see how it goes.'”

It was thought that Chris Paul would be traded after Oklahoma City acquired Paul for Russell Westbrook, but the trade market for the veteran point guard may not materialize, writes Tom Ziller (SB Nation).  “The problem is that the two most sensible suitors for Paul — the two teams rumors swirled around back when OKC seemed to be openly shopping CP3 — are actually pretty darn good without him.”

The Sonic Boom podcast’s latest episode talks about the final moments in Seattle and first in OKC:

Kyle Lowry (Toronto Raptors) says that Paul reached out to him to offer advice and strategy on how to beat the Golden State Warriors in last year’s NBA Finals.   “I remember CP hittin’ me, like, ‘Yo, you gotta do this,’ Lowry said. ‘Like, before the … during the series. I’m like, ‘Alright, I got you, bro.'”

Hey, it’s game day!  Enjoy your Friday, but let’s remember that tonight is another opportunity to watch the Oklahoma City Thunder play some basketball.  And the best part is, you don’t have to stay up six hours past your bedtime.
