Friday Bolts – 2.4.11
Should the Thunder make a deal? Berry Tramel: “I say no. Unless some fools like the T-Wolves or Clippers want to give you something for nothing. But otherwise, any trade the Thunder could make would be acquiring short-term gain at long-term expense. Why would you do that? The NBA has very few Rocky Colavito-for-Harvey Kuenn trades. Very few deals in which both teams get equal talent. They’re mostly finances-based. No reason for the Thunder to shoot the moon this season; they’re not winning the NBA championship no matter who they get.”
KD’s congratulations to Russell Westbrook was awesome: “We poppin apple cider for @russwest44…..congrats on ur first all star selection bro bro.”
Serge Ibaka prepping for the dunk contest.
Some rapper named Lil’ B doesn’t like KD: “Man, NBA superstar haters! I was talking to Kevin Durant on the DM. I was showing him love like, “KD, it’s all good.” But Kevin Durant looks like a hater. He looks like somebody that’s gonna hate you. I’ve seen a couple snapshots of him. He just looks like a hater, bro. KD, you’re the No. 1 leader in points. Be happy! Smile. I heard he has a rap artist and that’s why he was trippin’. But, man, KD? I’ma beat him in basketball and then he’s gonna have to listen to my music. Then I’ma ask him, “Who’s your favorite artist, KD?” Then he’s gonna tell me and I’ma play my songs that s— on his favorite artist.”
Russell Westbrook ranks pretty high on the Black Hole Atlas.
ESPN Stats and Info: “One of the stories of the first half has been Russell Westbrook’s emergence as an All-Star sidekick to Kevin Durant. One note of interest is the effectiveness of each player with and without the other. While Durant’s production is much higher when playing without Westbrook, Westbrook produces at a much higher level when sharing the court with Durant.”
Byron Mullens was assigned to the 66ers yesterday.
Now presenting, The Scottfather.

Happy birthday to my wonderful mother. I’d tell you how old she is, but I’d like to speak to her again at some point in my life.
