Official Box Score
The Lakers dominated inside to open this game, with Anthony Davis (18 points) and LeBron James (26 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds) stomping around the Thunder’s Al Horford-less (out, resting) paint to build an early 24-point lead. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander stayed steady (17 points) and Lu Dort rained in more threes to pull within 12 at the half, 58-46. The fun and games were over quickly in the third, though, as the Lakers built back their lead and essentially cruised for the rest of the game. There were other bright spots for Oklahoma City, as Hamidou Diallo (9 points, 5 rebounds with more disciplined decision-making) continued his strong play and Aleksej Pokusevski (10 points, 3 blocks) had his best game to date. But their .500-ish record notwithstanding, this OKC squad is due to spend more of their nights developing in garbage time than pushing legit teams like Los Angeles.
