For a long while, it appeared Billy Donovan would be the first Thunder coach to win inside the Peake this season.
Then, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Lu Dort took control of the game, leading Oklahoma City to a 127-125 victory over its former head coach and his Bulls.
Shai had a career-high 33-points and Dort posted a career-high six steals. The duo spearheaded the fifth-largest comeback in Thunder history, coming all the way back from a 22-point deficit.
One large reason OKC was able to defeat the Bulls was because of Chicago’s 24 turnovers. That high number is tied for the second-most this season behind only the Knicks and Pelicans 27 giveaways.
The Thunder will be back in action on Sunday versus the Joel Embiid-less 76ers.
