Shai Gilgeous-Alexander poured in 30 points, but the Oklahoma City Thunder fell 120-106 to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night.

The Clippers sprinted out to an early lead and took a 36-18 advantage into the second quarter. Oklahoma City battled from there, winning the next two quarters, but was not able to overcome the deficit.

The Clippers got to the free throw line at will and were nearly perfect at converting those chances. They made 25-of-26 from the line while OKC was just 10-of-13.

Unsurprisingly, it was Kawhi Leonard (31 points) and former OKC star Paul George (29 points) leading the way for the Clippers. Serge Ibaka added 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Other than Gilgeous-Alexander, four other Thunder players scored in double figures: Lu Dort (19), George Hill (12), Mike Muscala (11) and Hamidou Diallo (10).

As for the rookies, it was another tough game for Aleksej Pokusevski. Poku hit an early 3-pointer, but that — and 3 assists — was all he could muster in nearly 15 minutes. Theo Maledon added five points (eight shots), five rebounds and two assists.

Oklahoma City will be back in action again on Sunday against the Clippers.
