3 Big Things

  • Lu Dort Is Everything: Turns out hitting three pointers wasn’t just a bubble fluke for Lu Dort. Last night, Lu nailed 5 three-pointers with the confidence of Steph Curry in an open gym. He did all that and still maintained his exceptional defensive skills. Utah’s head coach Quin Snyder even called Dort “one of the best on-ball defenders in the league.” Looks like we finally found our 3 and D guy.
  • Shining SGA: The game winner didn’t fall for SGA this time, but he has fully stepped into his role as “the guy.” In addition to putting up 23 points against Utah, SGA dished out 7 assists. He’s looking more and more comfortable facilitating for his teammates and closing games. This marks Shai’s second 20+ point game in a row and he’s due for another versus Orlando tonight.
  • Magic Markelle: If you haven’t been paying attention to the Magic (which, why would you be?), then you might not know that Markelle Fultz is taking over. In the Magic’s three consecutive wins, Fultz has logged 15, 21, and 26 points respectively. It will be up to SGA and Dort to contain Fultz tonight and stop the Magic from staying undefeated.
