Kendrick Perkins injury update
The Thunder announced Sunday that Kendrick Perkins had an MRI that confirmed he suffered a right hip muscle strain in Game 4 against the Mavericks. He’s listed as day to day and his return to play will be based on his progress and recovery in the coming days.
Perk appeared to just tweak his hip early in the first quarter and did not return to the game.
With the Thunder sweeping the Mavs they will await the winner of the Nuggets-Lakers series. The Thunder will have about a week off guaranteed, with potentially nine days of rest, which could be big in getting Perk healthy for the second round.
