3 Big Things
- Without Chet. The Thunder play their first centerless game of the season as they await the eventual return of Isaiah Hartenstein (weeks away) and, hopefully, Chet Holmgren (months away).
- With Kenny. Kenrich Williams has worked his way back from injury, and is available to play for the first time all year. A legitimate undersized stretch 5 option in seasons past for Oklahoma City, Williams will soon be leaned on if he's effective (and maybe even if he's not).
- The stakes are suddenly high. So much for waiting around for I-Hart and some real competition while piling up easy wins. OKC needs every victory it can manage, starting tonight, if regrouping for a postseason run is to remain in the cards for 2025.
Prediction
I hope Alex Caruso plays 30 minutes to hound Ivica Zubac in traffic as often as possible. Because if someone's gonna spam a new interior weakness against OKC, it's James Harden.
