In all seriousness, what we don’t know about how returning to play greatly outweighs what we do know. The basketball hasn’t been atrocious so far, but this first stretch of play will be training camp mixed with preseason mixed with quarantine. Some teams are severely undermanned still, some are tuning up just to play out the string. Billy Donovan and Rick Carlisle have both acknowledged that there are handshake agreements between coaches on playing out these scrimmages with predetermined clock management and maybe even lineup coordination, as they try to sort out their own unknowns.
But the most important thing we do know? Basketball is back!
And the biggest question that could be answered: will Andre Roberson again play NBA minutes? All signs point to yes, but it hasn’t happened until it’s happened.
