View from the enemy: 48 Minutes of Hell
Did you know: The Thunder have lost their last six versus the Spurs? Time go ahead and break that. Forget that this is the last night of the back-to-back-to-back. This is a home game and the Thunder should be ready to go against a fellow Western contender.
San Antonio coming in: The Spurs have won three straight and played last night at home against Denver.
Three Big Things
1.The Thunder without Eric Maynor. He’s officially done for the season. So what happens with the rotation and who gets those backup minutes? I guess we’ll find out right away tonight.
2. Heavy everythings. Three games in three nights won’t be easy. Especially with Saturday’s struggle against the Rockets. The Spurs are coming in having played the night before themselves and with the Thunder’s youth, there’s really no reason not to be ready to go. There will be moments of fatigue, but at home, you’ve got to push through.
3. Defending the 3. The Spurs seem to just kill OKC from outside. I think Matt Bonner hit like 16 against the Thunder one time. Nobody is better at collapsing and kicking to an open shooter like the Spurs and the Thunder tend to fall asleep on the perimeter. Unless the Spurs just go cold, OKC has to cover the 3-point line.
Tip at 6:00 CT. Go Eric Maynor.
