The Thunder select Cameron Payne with the 14th pick

The Thunder used the 14th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft to take guard Cameron Payne from Murray State. There were other intriguing options on the board — Jerian Grant, Kelly Oubre, Sam Dekker — but the supposed promised player was the one they went with in the end.

Payne is a 6-foot-2 lefty playmaking guard that will come in as the third point on the team behind Russell Westbrook and D.J. Augustin. Also important: He talks in the third person and doesn’t know how to use a selfie stick.
