Thunder are pursuing Mike Miller
With a roster spot open and a need for more perimeter shooting, the Thunder may have had their answer fall into their lap.
According to multiple reports, the Thunder are among a few Western Conference contenders interested in new free agent Mike Miller. The 33-year-old guard was recently made available by the Heat via the amnesty provision and cleared waivers Thursday evening.
The Grizzlies, Spurs and Rockets are also said to be in pursuit of Miller.
Miller has won back-to-back championships in Miami primarily being deployed as a spot-up shooter for LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. In the Finals against the Spurs, he hit an incredible 11-18 from 3.
As for his health, Miller told the Sun-Sentinel this on Tuesday:
“I’m excited about the next spot,” he said. “I’m re-energized. I really am. I’m just feeling healthy. I’m ready to play. I started to get back in there again last week and I can’t wait to play again next year.”
