UPDATE: Still no word on KD. Or if there is a word I don’t know about it. -Mrs. Daily Thunder
Not an easy back-to-back road trip here. At Boston then a quick turnaround to take on an improving Bucks team. The good news for OKC is at least the Bucks are coming in from a road game the previous night as well. However, it wasn’t against as quality an opponent and they have the advantage of playing at home.
Milwaukee coming in: Again, the Bucks played Friday in Philly and are playing well after starting the season 1-3.
THE MATCHUPS
Other than Andrew Bogut on the inside, Oklahoma City has to feel good about every matchup in this one. Russell Westbrook has a size and strength advantage on Brandon Jennings, so we may see Russ try and muscle Jennings some in the post.
Kevin Durant will have a combination of Carlos Delfino and Corey Maggette checking him, with a little Luc Mbah Richard a Moute mixed in there as well.
The Thunder bench has an edge here with the Bucks really only getting scoring from Keyon Dooling, Ersan Ilyasova and Chris Douglas-Roberts. Not a ton of pop there. So a good game from Eric Maynor and James Harden could be a big factor.
The Bucks are a nice defensive team and will make OKC work to score. They struggle themselves putting the ball in the bucket, so the Thunder can’t make anything easy for them. It’s not an easy road tilt, but definitely a winnable one.
Tip at 7:30 CT. Go Durantulas.
