We’ve all heard Albert Einstein’s definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Turns out, the Thunder, Las Vegas and every NBA analyst and fan might be a little nuts.

Everyone cited above keeps expecting to put a player the caliber of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on the court and still end up with a nightly loss and a yearly top 4 pick. For three games in a row and four out of the past six, SGA and Co proved us all to be a bunch of McMurphy’s. And this is going on the third straight season where a preseason prediction of a plethora Thunder ping pong balls is in jeopardy.

Sure, two of the wins have been against the Lakers without LeBron James. But LA still had Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis and two gargantuan leads. Sure, one of the wins was against the Spurs without Tim Duncan or Kawhi Leonard. But San Antonio still had Gregg Popovich and the 6th best MOV in the Western Conference. Sure, one of the wins was against the Pelicans without Zion Williamson or Brandon Ingram. But New Orleans okay I can’t do this one with a straight face.

For those think this Thunder team is going to go on a run and make the playoffs, sorry, but more losses will come as the schedule gets tougher and teams get healthier.

But for those who think this Thunder team is the worst in the league and a top 5 draft pick is guaranteed, sorry, but more wins will come because this team has SGA, Josh Giddey, Lu Dort and Mike Curry Muscala.

Speaking of wins, the Sacramento Kings bring a three game losing streak into Oklahoma City tonight. Albert’s betting on Shai.
