Thunder unveil new alternate ‘Sunset’ uniform
Well, here you go. It’s the “Sunset” alternate uniform, something the team is saying is “not too red, and not too orange.” (DO YOU GET IT???)
They will debut them Nov. 1 at home against the Nuggets.
“This new uniform not only features another of our primary team colors, it also reinforces the strong connection our team has to our hometown and home state,” said Brian Byrnes, Thunder senior vice president of Sales and Marketing. “The ‘OKC’ on the front of the jersey echoes the chant that rings through Chesapeake Energy Arena during Thunder home games. This sunset-colored uniform adds a fresh perspective on the identity our team has built over the past seven seasons.”
I think the best way to describe these is how Mrs. Daily Thunder put it: “I kind of don’t hate these.” They definitely aren’t great, but they do seem like an improvement from the horrid navy blue things they wear, as well as the sleeved jammies they busted out last season. But as so many Thunder things are, they’re just so… blah.
