Thunder vs. Jazz: Three things to care about
The Thunder host the Jazz at The Peake in the Thunder’s fifth preseason game. They’re trying to bounce back from their first loss, a close one against the Pelicans oh wait it’s preseason who cares about that.
No, tonight’s game is not on TV so go ahead and ask 500 times if it. (Psst, here’s a stream you can try.)
(The clip above? From last season when Russell Westbrook absolutely detonated on the Jazz. If I had one wish for Santa this year, it’s that Russ has that kind of burst when he comes back. I promise I’ll be a good boy.)
Here are three things to care about:1. Young guys. After his big double-double, it’s pretty easy to get excited for what Steven Adams might have in store for tonight. Probably nothing anywhere close to the last one, but can he at least show positive signs again? And what about Jeremy Lamb? He looked a lot more comfortable his last time out. Has he built a little confidence?
2. Rotations? With just three preseason games yet, will Scott Brooks start to narrow things down a bit and get an idea of what to do? When’s the dress rehearsal?
3. Preview! The Thunder open the regular season with the Jazz on Oct. 30. I doubt you can learn too awful much about them tonight, but it’s something.
