Kevin Pelton of ESPN Insider has a trade idea: “I’d be surprised if the Thunder were willing to

offer so much for Lee. Doing so would represent a departure from their careful roster management. Sam Presti has been willing to deal first-round picks only for players young enough to grow with Oklahoma City’s core, such as Waiters and Enes Kanter. If the Thunder are going to threaten Golden State and San Antonio to win the West before Kevin Durant hits unrestricted free agency, however, dealing for Lee represents their best chance to close the gap with those teams, no matter the cost.”

Erik Horne: “Since making the move to the bench, Randolph has shot 53 percent from the field in 25 minutes a game and is still finishing games. The Grizzlies, however, are only 5-6 in the latest string of non-starts for Randolph. Wednesday’s game will be the final Thunder-Grizzlies matchup this regular season, with the winner taking the season series 2-1. The two teams have split games in Memphis this season, with the Grizzlies’ win coming while Kevin Durant was out with a hamstring strain.”

Kevin Durant is listed as out tonight.

Anthony Slater: “These days, Burke is known for her broadcasting success, breaking barriers for females in the industry. Van Gundy has become one of the league’s most respected public voices. Donovan has gone from sculpting future NBA stars to coaching current ones. But back in the late 80’s, they were three young basketball minds trying to sprout a career at the same starting point.”

The Big Number on OKC’s big offensive lineup.

Interesting look at post efficiency.

Andy Larsen of KSL on ref accountability: “Here’s where protocol starts to differ from reality. About a minute later, the guard came back with the news that the officials would not be commenting on the plays, as they were not questions of rule interpretation. In other words, he rejected the request. In speaking with the NBA today, I learned that that was a mistake on Washington’s part. Under the new regulations, Washington should have accepted the request to comment on the plays.”
