Who Is on the Thunder?

Who Is on the Thunder?

Along with our transactions log, this post will be updated with the current state of the 2020-21 Oklahoma City Thunder roster. The front office is not yet finished dealing, but we’ll track the final results of this frenetic offseason for OKC as the dust from each new move settles.

Current Roster Count: 20 (Over the limit)

Unless a special provision to the CBA changes roster limitations for the NBA in 2020-21, teams have a hard limit of 15 standard contract slots on the roster for opening night, with a minimum of 14 needing to be filled within two weeks of the season commencing. Additionally, each team can use up to 2x slots for two-way contracts, which are hybrid deals allowing players to spend time in both the G League and NBA.

A team can, however, carry up to 20 players before the season begins, and up to six exhibit-10 deals (training camp fliers).
